OCTOBER 31, 2009

Location - Lewistown Fire Hall

The Annual Spaghetti Dinner/Silent auction of 2009 was a complete success with a full spaghetti and meatball dinner prepared by Volunteer Joanne Mooney and Parent Mike Halper, with lots of help from their assistant chefs and servers.  The Fall Festival table decorations, which were awarded as door prizes were designed and provided by Volunteer Cheryl Monroe.

Thank you to our food donors.  McCutcheons generously donated the delicious spaghetti sauce and marinara sauce.  FPC Food Service provided all of the salad fixings.  Area grocery stores provided gift cards to purchase all  other supplies.  Parents and volunteers made wonderful, luscious desserts

Kim Pheobus, Silent Auction Chair, gathered all of the donated items - more than 500, and designed "eye appealing" baskets, boxes, and displays - providing a wide assortment of items to place bids on.  Included in the evening events was a Live Auction conducted by Auctioneer Donnie Lenhart.

Year end rider awards were also given to the most improved riders of 2009.  Halloween costume judging for adults, teens and young children, as well as children games were among the many activities, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

Along with area companies, our wonderful program supports, families, friends, parents, grand parents, participants and volunteers contributed 100s of gifts and gift buying.  We thank all of you from the bottom of our heart.

Frederick County 4H Therapeutic Riding profited around $10,000, the largest total to date.  We keep getting bigger and better.  Next years events will be...
