As a nonprofit
501(c)(3) tax-exempt Program, your donations of equipment, funds,
and horses are deductible to the full
extent allowable by law. Please contact your tax advisor.
HORSE DONATIONS -
Our Program's foundation is its horses and ponies. All
of our four-legged therapists are donated. They come
from various backgrounds - family pony, polo field, hunter
show ring, trail companion, etc.
Prospective new
horses must be sound with no vices. They must be under
25 years of age and less than 15.3 Hands. An instructor
and volunteer will visit the horse that is offered for
donation. The prospective horse will be ridden
independently and with a lead line, testing his "bomb proof"
ability and suitability for our students. Once approved
horses come to the farm for a minimum two-week trial period.
The owner receives a Donation Agreement when the horse is
moved to the farm.
EQUIPMENT
DONATIONS - Items such as bridles, saddles, blankets can
be delivered to the farm. A donation letter is sent and
the items become property of the Program. Any items
which we cannot use, are sold or given to another non-profit
horse facility.
