Our staff consists of therapists, riding instructors, and volunteers who all share the same passion for helping others and a love of horses. As we guide our riders through their sessions, we have the pleasure of watching them enjoy a special experience that benefits them both in body and in mind.
Frederick County 4H Therapeutic Riding Program combines the passion for helping others and a love of horses to provide a safe and positive horseback riding experience for disabled citizens of Frederick County, MD. Most of our horses and ponies have been donated to our program; and for most, we are a second chance at a wonderful new career. Check out our horses!
FC4HTRP provides a safe and positive horseback riding experience for disabled citizens of the county to improve their physical and emotional well-being. We have a wonderful outdoor arena, as well as an Indoor Arena, complete with an overhead track for our motorized lift system. Frederick County 4H Therapeutic Riding Program provides a recreational experience and therapeutic regimen to Frederick County citizens with medically certified mental, physical and emotional disabilities, through appropriate equestrian activities.
Therapeutic riding is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides education, socialization, recreation and therapy to more than 72 students in Frederick County Maryland each spring and fall. Without the donations from our community, and our wonderful volunteers, our program could not exist.
