OUR COVID-19 SESSION RESPONSE
In an abundance of caution, the program established COVID-19 Guidelines and strategies for all members to follow while at the farm. These Guidelines include:
* Observe social distancing in all possible incidences
* Wear personal face masks
* Wash hands at the hand washing station or use hand sanitizer – before and after riding or volunteering in each class
* A Portable hand washing station was designed and built for everyone to use
* Hand sanitizers, paper towels, wipes are always available for use
* Screen/Questions relating to COVID-19
*Temperature check
*Traveled outside of the state
*Have you been near someone who has COVID-19* Any COVID-19 symptoms
COVID-19 Guideline Video – One of our volunteers produced video outlining directions for everyone to follow upon arriving at the farm.
During the fall 2020 session and for the upcoming spring 2021 sessions, no more than 3 students will be permitted to ride in each class. Each rider has an assigned riding helmet that no one else will be permitted to use. The Volunteer Coordinator contacts and schedules each of the Horse Leaders and Side Walkers in advance of the classes, so that there are no “extra” volunteers on the farm. A half hour break is scheduled between each class to allow for sanitizing of ALL equipment
